GCP Digital News

It’s almost Mother’s Day! Here’s a funny little video from HENNY ON THE COUCH author Rebecca Land Soodak. Be warned—a bit of blue language (but very appropriate in context!).

Very cool animated cover for upcoming book YOU CAME BACK!

So there’s this fun little meme perpetuated by @NPRFreshAir in anticipation of Terry Gross’ interview with Carole King today about her new memoir A NATURAL WOMAN. Check it out on Storify, or join the fun on Twitter nand play long with #pubmediasingalong!

“Come on, come on…”

It was a big week at GCP! We bought Charlie Kaufman’s novel. Oh and our Business Plus imprint won a bunch of Axiom awards (YAY!). Ok, is that enough bragging? Yes, yes. Let’s focus on something that is just mindblowingly cool, artfully bloody and simply brilliant—the trailer for Seth Grahame-Smith’s latest, UNHOLY NIGHT (produced by Martha Otis, Brad Negbaur, and Oscar Stern).

We are wild for this video from Brooklyn novelist Emma Straub in which she ruminates on her cats Gravy and Killer and how they help her in the creative process. Obviously we have a lot of writers in our family; however, you may not know that we also count some cats in our family too (not to mention a gaggle of cat lovers). We’ve published Simon’s Cat, Dewey and soon (May 2012) we will be releasing YOUR CAT: THE OWNER’S MANUAL by vet extradinaire Marty Becker.

Here kitty, kitty….

We’re so excited about a new acquisition, a memoir by the sensational CeeLo Green! Here is one of our favorite CeeLo moments, from last year’s Grammys (with help from the muppets and Gwyneth Paltrow).

Hard to top that performance, but here’s CeeLo on what to expect in his memoir:

Talk about art imitating life? Enter into the super-natural, the surreal and the extra-ordinary that is CEELO GREEN. Do you think this is by chance? CRAZY? FORGET YOU? After reading this book, there will be no doubt that I am meant to be. CEELO GREEN A.K.A ‘everybody’s brother’ will make you a believer, not only in me, but also… yourself.”
